"Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5" will be released on March 29 with three more episodes on the way, developer Mojang has announced.
Episode 5 is titled "Order Up" and it picks up directly from "Episode 4: Wither Storm." It brings "Minecraft" players to Sky City, a captivating new city that has more to it than meets the eye.
The official description for "Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5" is as follows:
On a tip from Ivor, Jesse and friends head to an abandoned temple holding mysterious treasures. Ambushed by former Ocelot Aiden and his crew, our heroes find themselves in an entirely new world: Sky City! As they explore, the Order finds that resources are at a premium, and nothing but 'The Void' exists below the known world. When Aiden convinces Sky City's ruler that the New Order of the Stone are up to no good, you'll need to make some tough choices to clear your name, and keep Aiden from destroying an innocent world.
After players help Jesse and the gang conquer "Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5," three more "Minecraft" episodes will be released all throughout the year for players to explore and overcome.
Mojang is not ready to divulge specific details about these episodes yet, but it assured that
"Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5" will be a perfect bridge to these episodes and "Episode 4: Wither Storm."
Telltale Games added that these so-called post-season Adventures of the New Order of the Stone episodes will follow Jesse's party as they "explore new and unfamiliar worlds beyond their own."
Mojang also guaranteed that the episodes following "Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 5" will be "great" and will be "slightly different" in terms of flavor.
For the upcoming "Minecraft: Story Mode" episodes, "The Lord of the Rings" actor Sean Astin, "Parks and Recreation" alum Jim Meskimen and Melissa Hutchison from "The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series" will lend their voices to the loyal Captain of the Guard Reginald, the rebellious Milo, and the Founder of Sky City, respectively.
The three "Minecraft: Story Mode" episodes are not included in the season pass. Players must have purchased at least one episode from the first batch to be qualified to purchase the upcoming episodes.
