While Microsoft is setting the stage for their Windows 10 event on Wednesday, Oct. 26, tech gadgets speculate that the company will also unveil their highly anticipated Surface Book 2 during the same event.

According to reports, Microsoft is ready to make the announcement regarding the release date of the Surface Book 2 as well as the Surface Pro 5 during the event next week.

One of the hints pointing to the possible launch of the devices is the current Amazon product listings, tagging the currently available products as their "old version." This could mean that the tech firm already notified their retailers about their plans to release new devices soon.

However, other reports claimed that the next-generation high-performance laptop computer may still have to wait a while before it could finally get out on the market.

According to Neurogadget, the tech firm plans to equip the upcoming device with the upcoming Kaby Lake processor from Intel. Using the new processor could help the device run faster without consuming too much battery. However, the Kaby Lake processor is expected to be shipped in the later part of 2016. This means that there will not be enough time to manufacture the Microsoft Surface Book 2 using the Kaby Lake processor if it will be released by the end of the year.

Meanwhile, speculations claimed that the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will come out with a 4K resolution 3D display, OneClip and Office Hub features, the Surface Pen, as well as the support for USB 3.1 upon release. It will also reportedly come with a new NVIDIA graphics card.

Other reports also claim that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 2 will also come with the latest Windows 10 upgrade called the Redstone 2.

Details about the release of Microsoft Surface Book 2 are still expected to come out in the coming days.
