One of the biggest news that was announced during Microsoft's Build Conference Wednesday is the release of the newest build of Windows 10 which can now be downloaded. According to AnandTech, the newest Windows 10 build 10074 is now available to the Slow Ring so that its ISO can also be downloaded.

Aside from the new build, the Redmond-based computer software and consumer electronics products manufacturer also launched the latest Windows 10 preview for its PC version, which has a lot of new features that Windows users should look forward to once the full version is rolled out. One of them is the reintroduction of Aero Glass elements in the operating system's user interface. It was first introduced when the Windows 7 came out but was removed when Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 were released.

Microsoft's Gabriel Aul, the team leader of the data and fundamentals division of the company's operating systems group, explained the reason why the Aero Glass will make a comeback in the new operating system.

"We've also heard loud and clear that many Windows Insiders want to see Aero Glass from Windows 7 make a comeback. We've been working out how to satisfy this request, and are trying some things out with this build to see how you like them," Aul said.

Also, virtual personal assistant Cortana also received a fresh new appearance, which Microsoft corporate vice president of operating systems Joe Belfiore claimed is necessary because it "makes the experience feel more ingrained into the overall Windows experience."

In addition, Microsoft finally confirmed that they are planning to get mobile apps on the soon-to-be released Windows 10 operating system. According to The Verge, developers of Android and iOS operating systems will be allowed to connect their games and apps to the Windows universal apps directly using the company's new software development kits.

Microsoft's Terry Myerson explained that the tech firm planned this because they "want to enable developers to leverage their current code and current skills to start building those Windows applications in the Store, and to be able to extend those applications."

The release date for Windows 10 is still undisclosed at the moment.
