Miami Heat trade rumors 2016: Goran Dragic to be replaced by Kris Dunn? Heat looking to sign Russell Westbrook

According to the latest wave of NBA trade rumors, the Miami Heat is reportedly prepared to let go of Goran Dragic to get Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Miami Heat is going to do a lot of overhauling with Dwyane Wade off the team (now with Chicago Bulls) and the exit for small forward Luol Deng further weakening the team.

As per NBA trade rumors, releasing Dragic for Dunn and Lavine might start the rebuilding process for Heat. However, the Heat has a rival in Chicago Bulls, who also has their eye on Dunn, who impressed the franchise with his performance in the summer league.

"He's competitive. He works. He wants to get better. He's got all the intangibles. What he had done at Providence is important and then to overcome a lot of the stuff he had been through," Timberwolves President and coach Tom Thibodeau told Chicago Tribune.

"(We liked) his drive and intelligence, his ability to break a defense down and play the other side of the ball. He's a two-way player," he added.

Meanwhile, it appears that Miami also has its eye on Russell Westbrook. According to iTech Post, the Heat is going all out by trading off Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow in addition to Dragic to snag the Oklahoma City Thunder point guard.

To show its determination to bring him over to Miami, the franchise is reportedly willing to give up its next year's first-round draft for Westbrook.

Unfortunately, the Heat is not the only team looking to get Westbrook from Oklahoma City. The Boston Celtics are also interested as well as the Los Angeles Lakers, who think there's no trade needed to have him on board.

"The Lakers think they can sign him," Chris Broussard of ESPN said on MSG. "And I was talking to some executives yesterday about possible trades they might do or offer. And I was told they think they can sign him as a free agent, so why should they give up anything?" he went on to say.

As for Heat's attempt at Westbrook, The Inquisitr believes that with their offers, the franchise is serious about recruiting him to the team.
