Tonight's episode of "Married at First Sight" season 3 will see the newlyweds make an effort to communicate better with each other. Unfortunately, they are not doing any better with the exception of Tres Russell and Vanessa Nelson.
In the episode aptly titled "Breaking Down Barriers," Vanessa's mom will get to meet the guy her daughter married (at first sight). The promo clip shows that the Nelson matriarch already feels so close to Tres that she showed baby pictures of Vanessa to him.
As seen in the "Married at First Sight" season 3 clip, Tres was having a great time looking back into his wife's childhood and listening to Vanessa's mom's "embarrassing" stories, as Vanessa described them.
The 26-year-old corporate events manager, however, was mortified through it all but learned to just laugh about it in the end. So far, Tres and Vanessa are the only couple making progress in their marriage.
Things are very different with Neil Bowlus and Sam Role, who decided to stay in the latter's hometown with a roommate. Sam seems to be very satisfied and comfortable living the married life here, as seen in the "Married at First Sight" season 3 promo but Neil felt like he was a mere guest.
"There's no space for me," Neil commented in the clip. He lost it when Sam and the roommate decided to stay upstairs while he was instructed to "Betty Crocker it up" in the kitchen. "What just happened?" was only the words he could let drop.
Ashley Doherty and David Norton are also on the rocks. In "Married at First Sight" season 3 episode, Ashley will finally tell David what she really feels and from the way it was set up, it does not look like it will be good news for the lad.
"Married at First Sight" season 3 episode 8 "Breaking Down Barriers" will air on FYI today, Jan. 18 at 9pm ET.
