Nintendo announced during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014 that they were developing a creation tool video game called "Mario Maker." This year, a few days before the E3 2015, the game developer released a demo video of the game and revealed its new name.

Nintendo revealed during the Nintendo World Championships 2015 event Sunday that their soon-to-be released side-scroller creation game is now called "Super Mario Maker," which was also posted on Nintendo of America's Twitter account. "Super Mario Maker" was featured as the final challenge for the players during the event held in eight different Best Buy locations all over the U.S.

According to Nintendo, "You can create levels the like of which have never been seen in a Mario game, with Goombas walking around with Piranha Plants on their heads or a giant stack of Koopa Troopas appearing suddenly. The only limit is your imagination!"

To start creating a level in the "Super Mario" series, players need to conceptualize and build it using the Wii U GamePad so they can easily move around the pipes and blocks in the game, and summon different types of villains from the top of the screen to the level that they are creating.

In the game description posted on the Nintendo U.K. website, the upcoming "Super Mario Maker" can feature the changes made by players using simple button commands, making it easy for them to switch between the classic NES-style graphics and those from the brand new Wii-U exclusive "Super Mario Bros. U."

Tech Times reported that Nintendo prepared several difficult levels during this year's Nintendo World Championships, where players had to pass the enemies that were hiding in the blocks or dodge the flames that were scattered throughout the levels. The report also stated that several hints about "Super Mario Maker's" gameplay were shown during the event, including Mario's wide variety of transportation items, a new power-up, as well as the presence of Baby Bowser and Magi Koopa in the game.

Nintendo is now offering the "Super Mario Maker" for pre-order exclusively at Best Buy and Amazon for $59.99 under its old name. The game will be released exclusively for Wii U consoles sometime in September.
