Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis, the champions in "Dancing with the Stars" season 18, will once again set the dance floor on fire as the duo performs at Maksim's dance show in New York in December.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Chmerkovskiy shared: "Meryl and I are going to reproduce a couple of our routines and give people a little Maks and Meryl magic – even if it's just for a day."

The former "DWTS" duo will dance together again on Dec. 17 in Westbury, New York for a show called "SWAY – A Dance Trilogy" that features Chmerkovskiy.

There are reports claiming that the former dance partners took their relationship outside the dance floor. Based on rumors, the two are constantly seen out on dates.  However, the pro dancer refuted the rumors.

"We aren't dating, and I don't think we will. She is very special. I care very deeply for Meryl. Our friendship is where it will be for many years. She is awesome to spend time with," the pro dancer said.

Still, Maksim cannot help but praise his former dance partner.

He shared, "She is so soothing of a personality. For me to go 0 to 100, I take very long, but once you get me going it's impossible to stop. So, with Meryl, she totally balances me out."

The dance extravaganza will also feature other pro dancers from the hit ABC dance reality show, including Tony Dovolani, Jenna Johnson, Peta Murgatroyd, Artem Chigvintsev, Henry Byalikov, Sharna Burgess, Serge Onik, and Maksim's brother Val Chmerkovskiy. Another former "DWTS" celebrity contestant Zendaya will also join them during the show that will run until Dec. 21.

Maksim, who left "Dancing with the Stars" after he and the Olympic figure skating gold medalist won last season, is now pursuing his acting career.
