"Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler's stardom just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The 13-year-old dancer from Pittsburgh officially becomes the youngest judge in the history of the FOX reality show "So You Think You Can Dance."

Ziegler is joining the latest season subtitled "The Next Generation," where dancers aged 8 to 13 will be the contestants. The youngster joins Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo in the judges' panel.

In previewing Ziegler's debut as a judge in "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation," FOX said in a statement that "Ziegler will lend her expertise as a young dancer to critique and praise the contestants as they battle it out during the studio shows this summer."

Her impressive resume is also enough proof of why Ziegler will do a good job in selecting future dance superstars in "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation." For starters, she has helped the Abby Lee Dance Crew win various competitions as seen in "Dance Moms."

In fact, she was even often called the star student of dance instructor Abby Lee Miller. While Ziegler spent so much being a contestant in competitions featured on "Dance Moms," "So You Think You Can Dance" offers her the opportunity to be the one to pick the winner this time.

As fans may have heard, Ziegler will be leaving the aforementioned Lifetime reality series, which she had been in since it premiered in 2011, to pursue acting endeavors like her upcoming movie "The Book of Henry." As it turns out, "So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation" will also make her busier.

Ziegler has also starred in singer Sia's music videos, namely "Chandelier," "Elastic Heart" and "Big Girls Cry," which all helped boost her popularity. She has also performed at tons of events such as last year's Grammy Awards and on shows like "Dancing with the Stars."

Fans can watch Ziegler in action on "So You Think You Can Dance" starting May 30 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
