Apple fans found out during the recently-concluded Spring Forward event that a brand new, 13-inch MacBook Pro has been developed and will soon reach the market. Although the new MacBook Pro with Retina almost looks the same as its 2012 version, it reportedly comes with improved specs under the hood.

"The 13-inch MacBook Pro has been updated with the latest processors, more powerful graphics, faster flash, longer battery life and the all-new Force Touch trackpad," Apple's Phil Schiller stated.

Tech Crunch reported that the new MacBook will reach the market on April 10. It will apparently have the newest Broadwell-U processor from Intel, as well has higher SSD storage speed. The device also boasts the new Force Touch trackpad, which has a software-defined, user-navigated "click" effect that is made to imitate the physical and concrete feeling that was featured in the past mechanical model.

"Force sensors detect how much pressure you're applying, and the new Taptic Engine provides a click sensation when you press anywhere on the surface," Apple explains in its website. "The sensory capabilities of the Force Touch trackpad allow you to tell your MacBook what you want it to do based on subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply. This makes it possible to perform a variety of different actions in different apps, all on the same surface. And it can respond with haptic feedback you can actually feel, making your MacBook more usable and personal than ever before."

Meanwhile, the battery life of the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display is longer compared to the 13-inch MacBook Air or the Windows Ultrabooks. With the 2015 MacBook Pro, the 74.9 Wh battery is a lot higher than MacBook Air's 50 Wh. Because of that, the higher resolution display and the higher CPU and graphics wattage can still be accommodated by the battery of the new model. It means that the device can allegedly last after 10 hours of Internet use through Wi-Fi, as well as 12 hours of iTunes video playback.

If rumors about the release date are accurate, it means that the public can purchase the updated 2015 MacBook Pro next month.
