"Love & Hip Hop" finally returned for its fifth season, and things began to get hot at the start of the first episode.

First, Erica Mena addressed the break up rumors between her and girlfriend Cyn Santana.

During the season break, Erica was already hinting that things were not going smoothly between her and Cyn. Although she was claiming that they had a clean breakup, Erica still showed the opposite signs in the season premiere of VH1's hit reality show.

The tension was very visible between the two when Cyn cornered Erica about the kiss that she shared with Shad Moss, also known as Bow Wow. It turns out, Erica and Bow Wow are now engaged, which leads to speculations that the engagement is just a part of a marketing plot for the show.

Meanwhile, Monday night's premiere of "Love & Hip Hop" season 5 was supposed to be a fun-filled event for the cast members of the reality show, but a party that was meant to celebrate the return of the series on air was marked with violence no one ever expected.

According to reports, a handful of cast and crew members of the show went to a nightclub party at the Salsa con Fuego in New York City to have a good time while the series premiered, but things got sour when a violent fight broke out. After a while, several gunshots were heard in the venue.

The news about the rumored brawl was reported by gossip website Media Takeout. Based on its report, some stars from "Love & Hip Hop" were directly involved in the fight. Although the website mentioned that major cast members including Erica, Cyn, Peter Gunz, Tara Wallace and Peter Gunz were unharmed, Erica's manager and close friend Albee was reportedly injured during the alleged shooting incident.

These are unconfirmed reports, however, and the cast and management of "Love & Hip Hop" and VH1 still has to shed light about the said event.
