VH1 sacked Yung Berg from the hit reality spin-off "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" after he was arrested Nov. 5 for allegedly beating his girlfriend Masika Tucker.

"Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately," the network's website announced.

The 30-year-old rapper, whose real name is Christian Ward, had been slapped with a misdemeanor charge due to criminal obstruction of breathing. He could be facing a maximum of one year jail time if found guilty.

Based on the report posted by ABC News, the "Sexy Lady" rapper assaulted his girlfriend after a heated argument at the Gershwin Hotel located in Manhattan, New York.

NYPD reportedly responded to a 911 call that reported an assault that happened around 2:15 a.m. The 29-year-old girlfriend, who is also known as Masika Kalysha, claimed that she was punched in the face, grabbed by the neck, was thrown to the ground, and dragged by the hair.

The police who rushed to the incident said that Tucker was in pain, but she refused to be treated at the scene.

Prior to the incident, Yung and Tucker were filming the reunion episode of "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" in New York with co-stars Ray J, Lil Fizz, Omarion, Soulja Boy, Teairra Mai, and others, where they allegedly had too much to drink.

TMZ reported that the altercation happened after Yung found out that his credit card was over the limit when he tried to pay for his bills. He rushed back to the hotel where they were staying, and Tucker immediately followed. She explained that she already paid the bills and confronted him for leaving her alone. That was when the rapper grabbed her by the neck and forced her out of the room by pulling her hair.

Though charges have already been filed against Yung, Tucker defended her boyfriend. She said that violence was really out of his character, claiming that he only acted that way because of too much alcohol.
