Rarely do people see NBA players on television shows, except perhaps for Scottie Pippen. NBA champion Pippen has guest starred in numerous TV shows in the past, and it was recently revealed that he would also be starring in the upcoming episode of FOX's "Lethal Weapon."

Things are getting heated up for the series as a trailer was recently released for the seventh episode of season 2, "Birdwatch." The trailer itself does not show Pippen, but eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the video description lists Pippen among those making an appearance. He will reportedly be playing himself in a short cameo.

According to a synopsis of the upcoming episode, the Scottie Pippen in the show is also apparently Trish's (Keesha Sharp) new friend who she has been working with for a charity event. Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), Trish's husband, gets suspicious at first but then gets all excited when he finds out that it is the NBA champion itself. Fans will no longer wonder why Trish was being reserved about revealing who her friend was.

According to International Business Times, Pippen has already appeared on several shows and films. Back in 1996, he made his first appearance on NBC's "ER," and on the same year also appeared on partner Michael Jordan movie "Space Jam" and Chinese sci-fi movie "Amazing." Years later in 2015, he appeared in both ABC's "Fresh Off The Boat" and NBC's "Chicago Fire."

As for "Lethal Weapon's" latest episode, fans will be in for heart-racing installment as Riggs and Murtaugh try to save an abducted surfer. The kidnappers are asking for a million dollars, and although it is unknown if the surfer's dad did give the money, his son dies anyway.

Meanwhile, Riggs is also set to experience horrible dreams that will remind him of wounds from his past.

"Lethal Weapon" season 2 episode 7 airs today, Nov. 21, at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.
