'Legends of Tomorrow' spoilers: Booster Gold not coming but a classic hero might appear

Patrick J. Adams in "Suits" USA Network

"Suits" star Patrick J. Adams has been tapped for a recurring role in "Legends of Tomorrow." His character is being kept a secret at the moment but TVLine said it won't be Booster Gold.

For a while now, there have been rumors that the time-traveller from the 25th Century will be paying the Waverider crew a visit. However, it turns out that Booster Gold might not be in "Legends of Tomorrow" after all, but someone else will.

Rumor has it that Adams will be playing Alan Scott otherwise known as the original Green Lantern from the 1940s in "Legends of Tomorrow." This character was rebooted by DC as the Green Lantern from Earth-2, who also happens to be a gay man.

For now, it remains unclear what Adams will be up to in "Legends of Tomorrow." What's certain is that he will appear in several episodes in the second season.

If he will indeed play Green Lantern, it sure fits CW's description of the "beloved superhero from the DC canon," which is the only known information about the character to appear in the "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1 finale.

While fans ponder on what role Adams will play in "Legends of Tomorrow," fans can look forward to episode 10 of the series, titled "Progeny."
