While "The Twilight Saga" ended six years ago, its stars are still bound to run into each other. Kristen Stewart, the protagonist of the series, has reunited with Mackenzie Foy, who played her daughter.
"Twilight" stars Stewart and Foy were photographed together at a pre-Oscars event hosted by fashion giant Chanel. Stewart and Foy played mother and daughter in the popular vampire movie series "The Twilight Saga."
Stewart played Bella Swan, a teenage girl who lived in a fictional town called Forks in Washington state. Bella fell in love with Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a century-old vampire preserved in a 17-year-old body. In both the "Twilight" series of books as well as the movies, Bella got pregnant with Edward's child, eventually giving birth to a baby girl named Renesmee.
Foy was around 10 years old when she filmed for "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part One," although the actress herself was only shown in a vision of the future. The now 17-year-old Foy finally appeared in "Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two," the last installment of the movie series. Because Renesmee was supposed to be shown growing from infancy in the films, the younger versions of Foy's character were made with computer-generated imagery (CGI) effects.
Since starring in the "Twilight" movies, Foy has gone on to appear in films like "The Conjuring" and "Interstellar." She also lent her voice to the animated film adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "The Little Prince," and is set to star in the upcoming 2018 film "The Nutcracker and the Four Realms."
Stewart, meanwhile, has also gone on to star in several films since "The Twilight Saga." She has appeared in films like "Snow White and the Huntsman," "On the Road," "Clouds of Sils Maria," "American Ultra," and "Personal Shopper." She is also set to appear in two movies slated for a 2018 release: "Underwater" and "JT LeRoy." There are also rumors that Stewart may appear in the "Charlie's Angels" film remake.
It is believed that Chanel's @WELOVECOCO pre-Oscars party, held on Feb. 28, was the first time that Stewart and Foy met since wrapping up the last "Twilight" installment. However, Robert Pattinson, who played the father of Foy's character, was not present at the event.
