"Kingdom Hearts 3"is expected to feature three playable characters. In a recent interview with game director Tetsuya Nomura, GamesTM asked if Square Enix is following a pattern in determining the number of playable characters in the game.

Since the first "Kingdom Hearts" title had one, the second iteration featured two, is it safe to assume that the highly anticipated title is getting three playable characters? Nomura was a bit coy in answering.

"It's a secret but by saying that we imply that, maybe something's going on. We can't disclose anything but, maybe, something will happen there," he told GamesTM, as quoted by Segment Next. It looks like he is not ready to spill the beans on the subject of "Kingdom Hearts 3" characters yet but he did talk more about the gameplay.

"There have been many bold additions to Kingdom Hearts 3 in combat and those are only possible because we have access to the better hardware but it hasn't necessarily been things I couldn't have done then. It's more that I learned from the experiments of the spin-offs.

One of the newest elements to expect in the next "Kingdom Hearts" iteration is Sora's Keyblade Transformation. He hinted that this new feature is perfect for the game's plot as it elaborates more on Sora's new level of skills and mastery.

In other related news, there's a new rumor going around that "The Jungle Book" will be one of the worlds coming to "Kingdom Hearts 3." This is because the beloved tale of Mowgli was allegedly a central theme in the scrapped TV series based on "Kingdom Hearts."

Kevin Munroe, who worked on the said show that was never picked up, shared a photo of the script of the program's first episode that was titled "Man's Red Fire." The title is mentioned in the song "I Wanna Be Like You" from "The Jungle Book."
