The first PC expansion for the game "Kerbal Space Program," titled "Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion" is set to release on March 13 this year.

According to the announcement from the official blog of "Kerbal Space Program," the game's first PC expansion will bring new content to the game including Mission Builder and History Pack.

The expansion will feature a new content for the game — the Mission Builder that will give players tools to create, edit and share missions with other players. Players will be able to customize missions to include launches, landings, rescues, malfunctions, explosions and repairs. Since players can control their missions, they can add new challenges and unexpected obstacles for other players to play. Players can also share the missions they have created with the "Kerbal Space Program" community to encourage other players to accomplish one's missions.

Another new content for the game is the History Pack. It is a set of ready-made missions based on the historical events in humankind's space exploration. Players now have the ability to spacewalk, pull off a crash landing and attempt to recreate some of the memorable moments in history with the unique Kerbal twist. Aside from the Mission Builder and the History Pack, the upcoming expansion will also include new parts and astronaut suits inspired by the Space Race that players can use in "Kerbal Space Program."

"Kerbal Space Program" is being developed by Squad since 2010. The game left early access in 2015. It is also available on other platforms including Xbox One and PlayStation 4 (PS4). The "Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion" for PC was announced by Squad in March 2017.

"Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion" will be available for $14.99 on PC. However, the expansion will be free for all the players who purchased the game before April 2013.
