Kate Middleton pregnant rumors 2016: Baby claims dispelled by ski photos

Despite the release of the latest royal family photos taken during their top-secret ski holiday, rumors about the third pregnancy of Kate Middleton continue to spread.

According to reports, the Duchess of Cambridge is currently pregnant with twins. The rumors claim that royal insiders revealed that Middleton and her husband Prince William are now expecting to have twin daughters after she gave birth to Princess Charlotte in May 2015.

But based on the latest photos of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, which were taken during their trip to the French Alps, the pregnancy rumors appear to be a hoax.

The young royal family gamely posed for the camera as they enjoyed a pleasurable ski holiday in Courchevel. The couple first went to this ski resort before they got married in April 2011, but this was the first time that they brought their 2-year old son and 10-month-old daughter with them to the resort.

The holiday trip was kept from the media, but Kensington Palace later on released the photos of the family taken by the Press Association's senior royal photographer John Stillwell.

"This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow," a palace spokesperson said in a statement published by The Guardian. "It was a very special and fun short holiday for the family, and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well. The duke and duchess hope people enjoy the photos."

Despite the thick jackets that the royal family wore, photos revealed that Middleton does not have a baby bump, contrary to the rumors about a pregnancy.

Middleton and Prince William are also expected to visit India and the Kingdom of Bhutan on a royal trip in April.
