Fans of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, who have dubbed themselves as "Jelena" fans, were overjoyed when the two singers rekindled their romance late last year.

It seemed like the two were going strong, especially since Bieber took Gomez as his date to his father's Jamaican wedding last February and they were regularly attending church services together. However, a source told E! News that the lovebirds have decided to spend some time apart for now.

"They were having a lot of little disagreements recently and one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to 'break up,' however, they've been in contact the entire time and their feelings for each other have not changed," the insider dished.

Fans need not worry because Bieber and Gomez are really working hard to make their relationship work this time around. "They will absolutely get back together and they are not over, but they both need some time away from each other," the source continued.

A different source added that the two have been "having issues" about their newfound romance, especially since the public is heavily invested in it. "They both have expressed that they have been feeling overwhelmed with a lot of pressure that has come with their public relationship, and haven't been seeing eye to eye on things," said the insider.

During an earlier interview with Complex, Bieber said that his past relationship with Gomez failed because they were so invested in one another and they didn't care about anything else apart from the fact that they were in love.

He learned that he "can't lean on people," because the only one people can truly count on is God. "I wanna be loved for being a good dude and for being confident in myself because I know who I am and what I carry and what I sacrifice," he said.
