'Justice League' movie spoilers: 'Batman v Superman' director Zack Snyder talks how the 2 DC films connect

How will "Batman v Superman" kick off "Justice League"? Warner Bros.

The surprise ending in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has a bigger role in the upcoming "Justice League" movie than its shocking impact.

At the end of the film, Superman sacrificed his life to beat Doomsday, who possesses the same set of strengths and weaknesses as him, by impaling him with the spear doused in Kryptonite.

Being too close to the Kryptonite, the Man of Steel eventually dies, but that does not mean he is gone for good as he will play a major part in the "Justice League" movies.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder revealed that Superman's death had to take place for a more interesting plotline to drive "Justice League."

"I wanted Bruce Wayne to build the Justice League. I felt like with Superman around, it's a different conversation when you create the Justice League, right? " Snyder told Entertainment Weekly.

"I just feel like Bruce Wayne having to go out and find these seven samurai by himself, that's a lot more interesting of a premise," the director added.

The ending also served to show how much Superman is willing to give to save innocents, even if it means his own life. But, as what has been said, he won't stay dead for long.

In "Justice League," Batman's detective skills will be of use as he tries to bring the superhero group together. Without Superman, he will be forced to work more and not rely on Superman's invulnerability,

In fact, the "Justice League" movies will follow Batman and the rest of the team bringing Superman back. After all, they will need the Man of Steel, especially for the terrors about to come.

In a deleted scene released by Warner Bros, the coming of the DC heavyweight Darkseid was teased. The clip features Lex Luthor sealing his alliance with a demonic alien holding boxes believed to be the mother boxes, which suggests a strong connection to Darkseid.

"Justice League" will come in two parts. The first one will be out on Nov. 17, 2017.
