The cast of "Jersey Shore Family Vacation" is here to stay.

Almost one month before the cast of "Jersey Shore" reunites on the small screen, their upcoming series has already been picked up for a second season. Season 1, which premieres next month, will take place in Miami. It's likely that the crew will visit someplace else the second time around, but there's still no word yet on which city they will travel to.

The news does not stop there, though. MTV has also announced that they will be airing four "Road to Vacation" special episodes in the lead-up to the show's big April premiere. In the special, viewers will get a chance to look back at the most iconic moments of "Jersey Shore" alongside new cast interviews. Starting March 15, fans will get their weekly inside scoop on the show's most memorable moments.

MTV has been teasing the reality series in recent months before finally announcing the "Jersey Shore" reboot back in November. On the new program, viewers will witness seven of the original cast members return: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio, Jenni "JWOWW" Farley, Vinny Guadagnino and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

"Jersey Shore" originally aired on MTV from 2009 until 2012. Its huge success spawned multiple shows across the world with a similar format, including "Gandia Shore" in Spain, "Geordie Shore" in the United Kingdom and "Warsaw Shore" in Poland. MTV also made its own spinoff, "Floribama Shore," which was the network's best-rated premiere in over three years.

As previously reported, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola will not be a part of the reboot. Polizzi revealed in December that while she does not know why Giancola opted out of the project, she still hopes she'd have a change of heart. "Everyone pray that Sammi comes back, because I feel like she might change her mind," Polizzi said during a podcast. "Sam, if you're listening, come to the show. Like, stop being — stop it. Stop it right now before I spank you."

"Jersey Shore Family Vacation" premieres Thursday, April 5, at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
