Jeremy Lin scored 26 points including all 10 of his free throw shots, five rebounds, and five assists to help the Charlotte Hornets win against his former teammates in the New York Knicks during Saturday night's game at the Time Warner Cable Arena.

The win allowed the Hornets to have a 21-23 win-loss record, making it easier for the team to get the .500 winning percentage.

This proves that the 27-year-old can get things done whenever he gets time inside the court. Lin was included in the starting lineup since the Hornets faced the Knicks without five of its players, including first-five staples Nicolas Batum, Al Jefferson, and Jeremy Lamb.

"Jeremy Lin has played on teams where he has started for the majority of the year," Hornets coach Steve Clifford stated in an interview with News Day after the game. "I think the guys that have had those roles before are a big advantage because they have done it before."

To continue Lin's stellar performance and improve the winning percentage of the Hornets, Andrew Snyder of Hoops Habit offered a suggestion, saying, "If the Hornets are going to start stringing together wins and make a push for the playoffs, Lin is going to have to be a huge part of that. With all the injuries plaguing the the team, Lin is clearly Charlotte's second-best player at the moment. Until Batum returns, Lin's role in the offense needs to mirror this performance against the Knicks."

Synder also pointed out that Lin is the kind of scorer that can manage to change the output of the game for his team's advantage whenever he gets his groove. He also believes that the 6'3" point guard is also the kind of passer who can make the game a lot easier for his teammates.
