Liv (Rose McIver) won't be the only one eating brains and taking on new characters in "iZombie" season 3. In the new season, Major (Robert Buckley) will finally be in on the fun and mayhem.

Executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright revealed to Zap2it during the San Diego Comic Con or SDCC that in the second episode of "iZombie" season 3, Major and Liv will be on "complementary brains."

"Not the same brain but brains that have a relationship together," the EP explained. "They eat the brains of a dad and daughter," she went on to tease.

This situation will be made more fun and exciting with Liv becoming the dad and Major taking on the character of the "belligerent teenager," which should definitely allow for a barrel of laughs.

Meanwhile, the show's panel at SDCC also revealed quite a few exciting details about "iZombie" season 3. On the subject of brain-eating, Liv will also consume a dominatrix brain.

There will also be tons of characters set to return in "iZombie" season 3. One of whom is Robert Knepper, who will reprise his role as Blaine's (David Anders) father Angus in the upcoming season.

Other familiar faces to see are Weatherman Johnny Frost (Daran Norris), Major's lawyer Brandt Stone (Ken Marino) and Seattle crime lord Mr. Boss (Eddie Jemison), who will appear mostly in the latter half of the season.

As for new characters entering the fold, "iZombie" season 3 is set to introduce Ravi's former boss as the new season sets out to explore the character's past in the next season.

As for Liv's love life, it won't be the focus in "iZombie" season 3, but rest assured that whoever it will be, he won't share the same fate as her former boyfriends. That being said, fans won't have to worry about the next love interest for Liv dying.

"iZombie" season 3 is set to premiere this fall.
