iPad Air 3 release date moved to March 2017?

iPad Air 3's predecessor, the iPad Air 2 Apple

The unveiling of the iPad Air 3 might be missing during Apple's Keynote event on Sept. 7, but speculations claimed that the next-generation ultrathin tablet from the tech giant from California could still see the light of day.

Several reports suggested that the announcement of the third-generation iPad Air release date is possibly pushed back to a different announcement that will be held in October or November this year. But other speculations claimed that Apple is currently working on the iPad Pro product line, which means that they have to push the release of the iPad Air 3 to March 2017.

While the release date of iPad Air 3 remains uncertain, rumors claimed that the new version of the thinner tablet product will feature minimal changes in its design. But it might be a little thinner compared to its predecessor that was just 6.1mm thin.

PC Advisor also claimed that the rumored iPad Air 3 will be equipped with the new A10 or A10X processor. Since the new iPhone 7 is already running with the A10 processor upon release, it is not impossible to see the new tablet feature the same processor under the hood.

iTechPost, on the other hand, revealed that the iPad Air 3 will come in three memory storage options, including the 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB models. It will also reportedly come out with a sturdy aluminum material that will give it a thinner and smoother design.

Other rumored specs include the Apple Pencil support, the four-speaker audio system, and an integrated fingerprint scanner. However, it turned out that all these features are included in the upcoming version of the iPad Pro. This means that the details about the new iPad Air are still unrevealed.

Since Apple Inc. has yet to confirm the official release date and specs of the iPad Air 3, it is best to take these reports with a grain of salt.
