Speculations began to circulate online about the release date of Apple's latest line of smart devices after KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported in December that Apple could be brewing an event to drop these products, including the third-generation iPad Air and the latest version of the MacBook Air.

The iPad Air 3 is rumored to have a 9.7-inch screen display with 4K resolution, which is a lot better compared to the 1536 x 2048 pixel display featured in the previous edition. The ultra-thin tablet is also expected to come with a faster A9 processor together with 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM.

It will also reportedly be released with a powerful 13-MP rear facing primary camera and a 5-MP secondary front camera that comes with several internal storage capacity options, includding 16 GB, 32 GB and 128 GB editions.

Rumors also mention that the latest version of iPad Air 3 will come in three colors, namely silver, gold, and the company's signature space grey.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife regarding the features of the MacBook Air 2016.

According to speculations, the MacBook Air 2016 will come in three versions, but only two of them were confirmed by the tech giant, namely the one with a 13-inch display and the other with a 15-inch screen. However, several rumors claimed that the developers at the Cupertino-based company are also developing a smaller variety with a 12-inch Retina display.

Just like Apple's other new products, MacBook Air 2016 is also reportedly coming with a Touch ID feature on its trackpad, which supports a stronger security for Apple Pay.

However, representatives of the tech giant are still mum about the release dates of the products.
