iOS 8 problems for iPhone 4S, 5, 5S, and iPads: Top complaints after download of new software

Less than a week after the release of iOS 8, Apple Inc. had been plagued with complains from users who are having some sort of problems with the new system upgrade in their devices.

iOS 8 became available Wednesday last week for most of Apple products, such as the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPad mini Retina as well as the fifth-generation iPod touch. Immediately, Apple users were quick to update the software in their devices. Yet majority of them seems to be having a hard time in downloading the latest update, and then in making it work once it is already installed in their phones or tablets.

One of the most common complaints is the required 5.8 GB storage size for downloading the iOS 8. This means that a user must delete a lot of contents like photos and music from their devices in order to upgrade the system. However, Computer World shared a simple trick to get the iOS 8 upgrade without having to delete the existing content – with the use of iTunes.

To be able to do this, Apple users should make sure that iTunes 11.4 had been installed in a computer and the apps should be upgraded as well. They can then connect the device to iTunes using the proper cable, and back-up all the contents. After that, they can select the "Check for Updates" button on iTunes, after which they can immediately download and update the Apple product.

Then there are the problems with the function of the apps, particularly the DropBox and the highly anticipated HealthKit. According to Tech Times, the launching of the HealthKit, which was suppose to coincide with iOS 8 launch, did not push through since the developers discovered a lot of bugs in it. As of now, DropBox can be difficult for Apple fans to open and load.

Also, owners of the older devices like the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 are having a lot of glitches in their devices after attempting to update their gadgets. According to Investor Place, owners of the older-generation Apple products might not have enough capacity in order to run the new software. The only solution for this is to check with Apple first before deciding to download the iOS 8.
