Apple's iOS 8 had a rocky start when it was launched back in 2014, which is why Apple device owners were slow to respond to the tech giant's invitation to download its latest mobile operating system. But the company claims that several changes have already been made, and more changes are expected, to improve its services.
One of the mentioned changes that Apple promised to iOS 8 users this year is to limit the release of its update. While the constant release of updates is the company's way of showing that they are serious in addressing the problems of the software, each previous release fixed only a few bugs instead of addressing everything. In 2015, the company is expected to limit the update releases and focus on the major problems this time.
Also, the Cupertino tech giant said that they are revising the homescreen of their operating system, which has already been expected for quite a while. The homescreen feature in iOS 7 is already outdated, and it badly needs a facelift. This time, Apple listened to its users and will finally offer the new design soon.
Then Apple will give the iOS 8 an updated Back and Next buttons by adding a swipe gesture shortcut. Those who are using the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will benefit from this, since the larger screens make it harder for them to reach these buttons.
Previously, when the new mobile operating system for Apple Inc. products became available for download for older devices, those who downloaded it experienced tons of problems with the functions of their handheld gadgets, such as connectivity issues and battery longevity. The Cupertino-based company promised to improve their software so that the bugs and issues would be fixed. However, Apple users were turned off because problems continued to plague the operating system. Because of that, the OS update received the lowest percentage of adoption in the history of the platform. The company is not losing hope, however, and announced that they will roll out pertinent changes to improve the system.
If all these changes will be implemented, the 68 percent adoption rate of Apple users to iOS 8 could possibly increase in the coming days.
