iOS 11 jailbreak release date, latest rumors: Cydia support expected to arrive soon via Electra JB software

The public continues to wait for a working jailbreak tool that can breach the current security measured put up by Apple in the iOS 11. Since the said iOS version was released back in September, there have been failed attempts to create an exploit to tweak the iOS settings. There are some exceptions like the Electra Jailbreak, which can be accessed only by knowledgeable software developers. Nevertheless, there is hope that a public jailbreak tool will be out soon, especially now that Cydia is reported to finally make its way to the iOS 11.

For jailbreak users, Cydia is the App Store to go when looking for iOS tweaks. Unfortunately, its reign appears to have ended with the arrival of iOS 11. However, WCCFTech reported that Cydia support is coming to the latest iOS version very soon. The software's creator, Saurik, is not expected to launch the iOS 11 update for Cydia, but this will be done by the Electra jailbreak developer, CoolStar.

CoolStar said in his latest tweet that the upcoming Cydia jailbreak support will be applicable for the first iOS 11 version up to iOS 11.1.2. There are already hints that the jailbreak App Store will be available to the iOS 11 users sooner than later, as the APT file for the current iOS version is now ready. Only a few revisions and tests are likely to be done before the much-awaited Cydia support becomes operational in iOS 11.

The Cydia support to be delivered by CoolStar will come with some restrictions, however, as the official version of the jailbreak App Store will still be launched by Saurik himself. For now, CoolStar's optimized version of Cydia software will be used mostly for his own Electra IOS 11 jailbreak. Also, users who will download CoolStar's Cydia launcher are not going to have access to paid jailbreak tweaks until the official version comes out.
