After the official announcement of Brainiac as a playable character in "Injustice 2" last week, NetherRealm has recently released the gameplay trailer for the said known Superman adversary, showing how just powerful he can be. While Superman is known to be almost invulnerable, the said trailer shows how he gets the beating from one of his most formidable opponents.

"You can't have earth, Brainiac," the kryptonite-handcuffed Superman is heard talking to Brainiac in the opening part of the said trailer. As the Man of Steel breaks free the kryptonite handcuffs, Brainiac starts attacking him with his multiple extended mechanical arms and gives him a good amount of beating.

The trailer also shows Brainiac showing his powerful moves against Green Arrow who is, obviously, no match for him. It also features him engaging in a fight with another DC villain, Gorilla Grodd, who, despite initially winning the fight, eventually bites the dust.

To the uninitiated, Brainiac is one of the most powerful opponents of Superman in the Man of Steel's mythos. He is a megalomaniacal genius who travels the universe to collect knowledge and increase his intellectual and scientific powers. In the comic books, Brainiac even captures several Krypton cities and destroys the others.

While Superman must use all of his powers in order to defeat Brainiac and his army of robots, the official description of the character in DC comic books claims that defeating this villain requires brains since he needs to be outthought, outplanned, and outwitted.

Meanwhile, NetherRealm has announced that it will make another character reveal for "Injustice 2" on April 28. However, it has been learned that the studio behind "Injustice 2" will not only reveal another playable character for the upcoming game but will also release an exclusive gameplay footage on the said date.

"Injustice 2" is set to arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16 in North America and May 19 in Europe.
