"Hunter X Hunter" chapter 361 has been delayed for a long time now, leading many to suspect that the manga might already be cancelled.

According to reports, "Hunter X Hunter" began its hiatus in early 2016 because the manga's creator Yoshihiro Togashi was suffering from back problems. He was forced to stop right after chapter 360 to possibly avoid further health complications and recover from his back issues. Many fans are well aware of Togashi's history of back pain, so the news of his break was not that big of a deal at the time. It is also worth noting that this is not the first time he has taken a break due to back pains.

Although fans are still hoping that chapter 361 will be released soon, recent rumors suggest that "Hunter X Hunter" may have been axed altogether. Fans will obviously be disappointed if publisher Shueisha decides to cancel the manga, but the creator and the publisher's silence on the subject has been interpreted by some as an ominous sign. Neither Togashi nor Shueisha has released a statement to address the matter or at least given an update. That is one of the biggest reasons why the publisher might cancel the series and focus on another project instead.

Should the manga series move forward, chapter 361 is expected to bring more exciting twists and drama following the Dark Continent Expedition arc. The previous chapter left off with Kurapika attempting to contact other Hunters, which means the upcoming installment will open more interesting plot possibilities.

While waiting for the new manga chapter, fans can still see their favorite "Hunter X Hunter" character Gon by trying out the action role-playing game "Monster Hunter XX." The game's collaboration with the manga lets players take on the role of Gon's adult form, with armor items such as Gon Suit, Gon Arms, Gon Legs, and Gon Head.

Since there is still no official word from Togashi or the manga's publisher about the fate of "Hunter X Hunter," readers are advised to take this development with a grain of salt.
