The alpha version of "Hunt: Showdown" is finally available for players to check out.

Crytek Studio, developer of the hit first-person shooter game "Crysis," looks like it's on its way to make another big game. Announced in March 2017, "Hunt: Showdown" is a first-person multiplayer title but with a surreal, horror twist that will certainly add thrill to the gamers' co-op experience. Some were already able to try out the upcoming game in its alpha version. Those who haven't tried it out, but are interested to do so can refer to the PC requirements discussed in this article.

For the uninitiated, "Hunt: Showdown" is a co-op multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) horror game set in swampy woods. That said, the game is not exactly recommended for the faint of heart or those who cannot handle fast-paced horror games. As the setting is in the woods, gamers should expect to encounter a lot of wild and ferocious animals aside from the zombies that they need to deal with.

On top of that, there will also be, of course, other players in the game. The ultimate goal is, obviously, to survive all the perils presented in the gameplay. There will be clues in the game to help players gain advantage and emerge victorious. However, there are no specifics on how to actually beat the game.

Those who want to experience "Hunt: Showdown" can do so by registering on their website for the closed alpha. Note, however, that it takes a few weeks to get a response. Players would also need a pretty decent gaming PC or laptop to play the game. Here are the specs that players are required to have on their gaming rig, per PC Gamer.

The player's computer must run an Intel i5 6th Generation or higher with at least 12 GB of random-access memory (RAM). The graphics should be powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or its AMD equivalent, or a higher-specced graphics card. Windows 10 OS is also recommended. As these are the recommended specs, players may be able to lower frame rates with lower gaming rigs.

Even then, players are still having a hard time getting a constant frame rate. This is expected to improve when the game releases its beta version, which may likely come out in the next few months.
