The unannounced Huawei Mate 9 is rumored to be a beast of a smartphone and according to reports, the Chinese tech firm is saving it for a year-end release.

The Huawei Mate 9 is deemed to be one of the biggest and most intimidating mobile releases of 2016. This is because each aspect of the smartphone is expected to offer the latest and most sought after in the business.

The behemoth phone is expected to come with a monstrous 6-inch display. It is said to be powered by Huawei's Kirin 960, the upgrade to the Kirin 955 found in its latest group of mobile offerings— the P9 and all its variants.

This powerful chipset will be complemented by a killer octa-core GPU and next-generation Artemis cores. With all of this together, Huawei Mate 9 will undoubtedly be a very efficient and potent smartphone.

The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to launch in two versions. The standard version includes 64GB of storage paired with 4GB RAM. The premium version will offer a whopping 128GB storage and will be backed up by 6GB RAM.

Huawei will equip the Mate 9 with a dual camera. To make this already-amazing upgrade grander, the company is trading the flagship's predecessor Mate 8's 16MP single shooter with hefty 20MP.

As what has become the norm with flagships in this day and age, the Huawei Mate 9 is expected to sport a fingerprint sensor and a Type USB-C port.

There are no specific details on its battery pack and the selfie shooter, but it is expected to be bigger than the Mate 8's 4,000 mAh battery.

Interestingly, a listing of the Huawei Mate 9 on retailer Gizok indicates that the battery will be at 5,000 mAh and the front camera will be at 8MP.

Curiously, it is stated on the website as "out of stock" but the site maintains that details will be updated once the supplies arrive.

The Huawei Mate 9 is expected to be launched this November. Last year's iteration was released in the same month last year.
