The HTC VIVE, a virtual reality headset, is getting a tracker bundle this December.

The tracker accessory will allow players to feel as if they're firing real guns in VR combat-heavy games, though the tracker can also be used for sports that involve tennis or badminton.

VIVE's official website posted an update regarding the tracker on Nov. 16.

"It's been a great year for Vive Tracker and we're consistently impressed by the way the developer community has integrated Tracker into their experiences, prototypes, and arcades. From MarioKart VR to full body tracking, to the first VR keyboard, Vive Tracker enables new types of VR projects quickly and affordable. But that's just for developers and businesses. Starting today, we've got our first line of Tracker peripherals and accessories for Vive users at home."

The Vive tracker has been helping developers come up with new game mechanics and easier ways to track a player's movement. It's a game changer for virtual reality games, and to make things better, eager players and excited VR vans will be able to test out this new tracker during the Winter holidays.

According to VIVE, the trackers are currently available for pre-order and should arrive sometime during December. The currently available bundles are the Hyper Blaster and Racket Sports Set.

Aside from both the Hyper Blaster and the Racket Sports Set, players will be able to get their hands on a full body tracker in the form of a Rebuff Reality TrackStrap. However, VIVE mentioned that the latter would not come with the purchase of the tracker and that people would have to order them individually from VIVEs Website.

The Hyper Blaster is a gun and motion sensor for shooting-related games, it will reportedly be sold exclusively through Amazon. Meanwhile, the Racket Sports Set takes the shape of a tennis racket and will be useful for virtual sport related games.
