Will the past haunt Asher Millstone (Matt McGorry) when "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 return after its winter break?

Before Asher began his life in law school and met the notorious defense lawyer and Middleton University professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and the Keating 5, the cocky student already had experience covering up crimes. He and his high-profile father covered up a gang rape that happened in their Trotter Lake property.

The incident was unveiled in "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode 6. In the episode titled "Two Birds, One Millstone," Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) found out that Asher was somehow involved in the gang rape of his ex-girlfriend Tiffany Howard.

However, the episode did not mention the extent of his involvement in the crime. It is also unclear whether Tiffany is still alive or not.

In an interview with TV Guide, series executive producer Peter Nowalk talked about the possibility of fans seeing Tiffany in person when "How to Get Away with Murder" returns for the second half of season 2.

"Right now, I don't know if we'll meet her, to be honest," the executive producer explained. "I think if we were going to do that story line, we would have to have a real reason to do it, because obviously what happened to her is one of the most disgusting things that could happen and we would have to tell a story we haven't told before that we're honestly not telling with Annalise and Bonnie, who are both survivors. We would have to really devote time to it."

However, Nowalk said that they are not ruling out any chances of showing Tiffany.

But Asher is not the only member of Keating 5 who has an interesting past. During the series' midseason finale, fans found out that Annalise already knew Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) when he was still a little boy. However, their connection is still unrevealed.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 will resume on Feb. 11 on ABC.
