It seems like one of the things that her students learned from the revered criminal lawyer and professor Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) is to choose a good alliance.

In the third episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2, Annalise's student Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) will allegedly work with an unexpected ally.

Though there are no details that will explain what the alliance is all about, some could assume that Wes will be working with someone who has a connection to his girlfriend Rebecca Sutter (Katie Findlay) to find out her whereabouts.

But Wes still has no idea that Rebecca was murdered in Annalise's basement in the first season finale, since Annalise and her staff Frank Delfino (Charlie Weber) disposed of her remains before her students could find out what happened to the only witness to Lila Stangard's (Megan West) murder.

At the end of the first season, Annalise and Frank each suspected that the other is responsible for the crime. Yet it was revealed in the premiere episode of season 2, titled "It's Time to Move On," that Annalise's associate attorney Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil) was the one who killed Rebecca.

Who could Wes possibly contact to search for his missing girlfriend? An obvious choice could be Rebecca's friend Levi (Matt Cohen) since he was the last person that Rebecca contacted before Bonnie killed her. Can Wes trust Levi, and could he finally find out about Rebecca's death in the upcoming episode?

The third episode of "How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 is also expected to give more clues about Annalise's fate after being shot in the premiere episode of the season. It was earlier thought that prosecutor Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns) killed Annalise, but it was later revealed in episode 2 that the prosecutor was also killed in front the Hapstall mansion. It means that the hunt for Annalise's shooter continues in the upcoming episodes of the season.

"How to Get Away with Murder" season 2 episode 3 titled "It's Called the Octopus" airs on Thursday, Oct. 8, on ABC.
