Game designer Dean Ayala has finally shot down months-worth of speculation regarding a possible Nintendo Switch One port of the popular mobile game by Blizzard -- the "Hearthstone."

For a time now, talks around the web were popping up, detailing how the popular mobile-card game is next in line to be ported to the newly released Nintendo console.

In an interview with Powerup Gaming, Ayala discussed plans of porting the blizzard-made game to the Switch One --which is nonexistent, he indicated.

"There are no plans to move HearthStone to the Nintendo Switch," Ayala clarified.

IGN shares that "Hearthstone" has yet to take the plunge when it comes to porting into current, popular consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

The game website also argues that these consoles may not offer the same "intuitive controls" that mobile devices have to offer when it comes to "Hearthstone."

Powerup Gaming, however, disagrees. It says that a cross-platform playing field would be "preferential" for the game in order to completely engage the 50 million players currently engrossed with the game.

At BlizzCon 2017, another game designer responsible for "Hearthstone," Peter Whalen, told fans not to completely rule out the possibility of a port. But he also emphasized that, as of the moment, nothing is planned or in development entirely.

Blizzard's "Hearthstone' first made its debut release on the PC platform. And due to its popularity and large following, a mobile counterpart was released not long after its initial outing.

"Hearthstone" is a turn-based card game that focuses on strategy. It enables players to collect cards with varying mythic and magical characters that they could then use to battle other players in order to gain a higher ranking.
