New maps, weapons, armor, and vehicles are coming with the April update of "Halo 5," 343 Industries revealed.

Details about the upcoming free update, called "Ghosts of Meridian," were posted on the Halo Waypoint blog. The update comes with 35 new items for the requisition system.

"'Ghosts of Meridian' will bring with it not only new maps, vehicles, weapons, weapon skins, armors, helmets, emblems, and more, but also game updates such as Forge improvements, multiplayer adjustments for both Warzone and Arena, sandbox and weapon updates (such as Spartan Laser tuning), UI updates, and more," the game developer said in the blog post.

The post also provided the specifics of the upcoming Reqs from the "Ghosts of Meridian" update, including the Dynasty Armor Set and the Mark V Alpha Reflex Armor Set.

The game studio earlier revealed the details of the Warzone map that will come with the April update. This map, dubbed the Skirmish at Darkstar, will let players engage in battles in an environment filled with numerous colonial reclamation features used by humanity to repair the world.

According to the game's senior concept artist, Josh Kao, the game development team opted to include a dilapidated ship in the center of the planet Meridian.

"I originally thought about having a space elevator in the concept, but we decided against it because there was already one in the campaign. I also wanted to capture the mood of what a mining planet would feel like, with the sunlight peeking through its heavily polluted atmosphere," Kao revealed.

While the other details about the April update are still kept under wraps, 343 Industries promised to provide more information about what "Halo 5" players should look forward to before the update comes out next month.
