Fans of Halo were treated with new trailers for the highly-anticipated beta version of "Halo 5: Guardians" as well as the newly publicized Halo Channel during Microsoft's conference in this year's Gamescom.

A few note-worthy news about Halo were also discussed during the pre-Gamescom media briefing of Microsoft, such as the statement about the latest Halo-concentrated media app as well as the official release date for the beta version of "Halo 5: Guardians."

Basically dubbed as "The Halo Channel," the representatives of Microsoft who were present during the Cologne, Germany-based expo illustrated it as an "interactive digital network that provides unprecedented, personalized access to the Halo Universe."

In the trailer released by the company today, a dashboard-like interface was shown, including the latest footages of "Halo: Nightfall" as well as "Halo 2: Anniversary." There are also footages released that feature behind-the-scene outtakes and community features that can be entirely accessed from the channel.

According to the description posted in YouTube, "The Halo Channel enables you to seamlessly transition between Halo games and other Halo experiences. Featuring full Twitch integration, broadcast your gameplay or watch feeds from the Halo community - from competitive multiplayer matches and campaign walkthroughs to speed runs. This is your home for Halo."

The Halo Channel will be launched on Xbox One as well as its PC version at a later date which has not been announced as of yet.

The role of the video game's official website Halo Waypoint when the Halo Channel becomes live is still unknown.

It was also announced during Microsoft's Gamecom conference that the beta version of Halo 5 will be launched on December 29 and will continuously run until January 18, 2015.

The gameplay for beta will concentrate on 4v4 arena battles that are scattered over seven different maps, and it is also reported that the gameplay will run supposedly at around 60 frames per second.

Only those who will purchase "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" will have the access to the beta. It will be available on November 11.
