More information about the new cast members of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" have been revealed by Marvel during the announcement about the sequel's principal photography.

It was revealed that newcomer Elizabeth Debicki will play the role of Ayesha, who, in the comics, is a result of an experiment by a group of scientists to create superhuman beings.

Tommy Flanagan's character in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is named Tullk. In the comics, Tullk is known to be a galactic bounty hunter and mercenary in service of Ronan the Accuser.

In the "Guardians of the Galaxy" sequel, however, the character of Flanagan will be made as one of Yondu's Ravagers.

As for Chris Sullivan's role in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," it was confirmed that he will be Taserface, a character familiar to readers of "Guardians of the Galaxy" comics, who, at one point, duelled with Star-Lord's party.

Unfortunately, Kurt Russell's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" role remained under wraps, leading fans to believe that "The Hateful Eight" actor will play the role of Daddy Quill.

Meanwhile, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" director James Gunn keeps fans posted on the production of the film via social media. He recently shared a video of Chris Pratt's Star-Lord piloting the Milano and a photo of the Guardians-version of Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper."

Gunn also shared on his Facebook page a photo of a storyboard, which may have something to do with the mystery of Peter Quill's dad.

"Another Wednesday, another shot we just shot from one of my original thumbnails. I don't think you'll ever guess what this one is, at least not until the film comes out (but I know that won't stop you from trying)," Gunn wrote about the photo.

One guess, however, claims that the sketch seems to feature Adam Warlock's iconic cocoon. This means that the Marvel character, who interestingly has a deep connection with Ayesha, could be featured in "Guardians ofthe Galaxy Vol. 2."

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will be out May 5, 2017.
