Despite the gloom that is expected to cloak Portland, a welcome addition will be introduced when "Grimm" returns for season 6.

At the end of season 5, Rosalee (Bree Turner) told Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) that she is already carrying their baby. Fans have been waiting for it to happen for the longest time, and the child will finally arrive in the upcoming season.

Since both Rosalee and Monroe are both Wesens, fans of the series are excited to find out what kind of powers their baby will possess upon birth.

In an interview with Turner during the 2016 San Diego Comic Con, Turner also expressed her excitement over the possible characteristics of her upcoming child.

"Is it going to be a hybrid? Is one species going to dominate? I don't know. But it's super fun," the actress said during the interview with Showbiz Junkie. "That's why being a genre fantasy show like this it's limitless what you can do. As an actor it's always super fun. It's like I can have a second head all of a sudden!"

She also considered the possibility that their child could be a regular human, since there is a chance that both Wesen can cancel out each other's powers.

"I don't know. It's a good question because again it's like interspecies mixing has kind of been verboden in a lot of generations and we're sort of saying, 'We're a modern couple. That's ridiculous,'" Turner also said.

Meanwhile, lead star David Giuntoli also teased that his character and the rest of the gang will be constantly on the run from Renard (Sasha Roiz) when the series returns next season. During an interview at the 2016 SDCC, Giuntoli told EnStarz that the group cannot stay in their usual hiding spots anymore since Renard has all the powers to haunt them.

"Grimm" season 6 is slated to premiere on Oct. 28 on NBC.
