Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) will take on the case of a Wesen disguising as a preacher in the next episode of "Grimm" season 5.

The synopsis for the episode, titled "The Believer," reads:

"An Evangelical minister attracts more 'true believers' to his tent revival with the power of his Wesen identity; and Nick and Hank have to get involved when all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile, Capt. Renard (Sasha Roiz) takes further steps to hold sway in local government; Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) borrows a page from Adalind's (Claire Coffee) book to gain more access to Black Claw."

In the trailer for the upcoming episode, the preacher, portrayed by guest star William Mapother, appears to be a typical evangelist at first, but he suddenly transforms into a devil-like creature.

"It seems like he gets possessed by the devil," Nick is heard saying in the promo video. But can they control the Wesen before he could hurt the churchgoers?

Meanwhile, Renard will intensify his campaign to earn a bigger lead in the upcoming mayoral election by taking "further steps" to make sure that his voters will never cease supporting him. However, Eve will keep an eye on Renard's suspicious behavior because The Hadrian's Wall is interested to find out why he is suddenly keen on becoming a politician. This will prompt Eve to use one of Adalind's old tricks to be able to get more information that will connect the Black Claw to the case.

Meanwhile, TVGuide released the synopsis for episode 17, titled "Inugami." It reads:

"Local youths are in danger due to an ancient code of vengeance that has been adopted by Japanese Wesen; and Adalind crosses paths with Eve upon returning to work at her old law firm."

"Grimm" season 5 episode 16 is scheduled to broadcast on Friday, April 8, on NBC.
