GoPro Hero 4 GoPro Inc.

American technology company GoPro has revealed the proposed arrival of the highly anticipated successor of the acclaimed GoPro Hero 4 and the newest entry in the GoPro Hero series. The gadget is set to hit markets along with other new products such as the GoPro Karma, the company's remote controlled aerial photography device. Many Action camera enthusiasts are already disappointed about GoPro not revealing the releases of the upcoming device, but CEO Nick Woodman has assured that the new product lineup may possibly come out before the holidays.

The new camera called 'GoPro Hero 5' along with other proposed items were delayed for reasons the company won't disclose. However what is cofirmed is that the company will be releasing three new devices this year in the Christmas season.

The news of the new releases come at a time when the company's fortunes seem to be dwindling. GoPro's numbers are currently collapsing, plunging into 47.4 percent for its current quarterly revenue. In June that saw the end of second quarter, revenues of GoPro fell to $220.8 million, jumping from $419.9 million that the company registered in the same quarter of 2015. With their anticipation of the new product releases, GoPro is looking forward to a sequential growth in operating expenses and stabilized sales figures for the second half of the year.

Although Hero 5 action camera has been making speculations online for quite a while now, prospective buyers are frustrated over the unforseen delay. According to some new reports the company is streamlining and fine-tuning its upcoming products, so one can expect that the camera will be packed with advanced game-changing features.

With tech enthusists speculating that Hero 5 will come with a 3D video camera feature and a 4K video capability at 60 frames per second, something that leaves competitors far behind, the device could really be the game changer for Go Pro and give it a much needed boost.

There are reports that the camera unit may also be quite smaller than its predecessor and can be submerged in water up to a depth of 60 meters. Furthermore, it is also speculated that it may also come with live streaming functionality
