Another person from Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) past seems to have returned to Stars Hollow, based on Netflix UK's teaser for the revival of "Gilmore Girls."
The U.K. edition of the entertainment streaming service provider posted a photo showing two shelves filled with different coffee mugs where the name of the men who had a relationship with Lorelai and her daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel) were written on it. The top shelf belongs to Rory's past loves, including Dean (Jared Padalecki), Logan (Matt Czuchry), and Jess (Milo Ventimiglia).
On the bottom shelf, the name of Lorelai's ex-boyfriend and Rory's father Christopher (David Sutcliffe) and her current love Luke (Scott Patterson) were imprinted on the cups. But a third cup also appeared, bearing the name of Max Medina (Scott Cohen).
Fans of the critically acclaimed series know that Max and Lorelai were romantically involved after she met him during a parent-teacher meeting at The Chilton School. He even proposed to her with thousands of yellow daisies. But their relationship ended when she decided to take an impromptu road trip with Rory.
However, those who were hoping to see a Lorelai-Max reunion should not set their hopes up too high, since series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told Entertainment Weekly back in April that they find it hard to fit in Max into the plot of the revival series.
"One person I didn't figure out how to get in was Scott Cohen, whom we love so much. Not that we're not still thinking about him, but we couldn't figure out how to get Max in there," Palladino said. "We had so much story. We left storylines on the cutting room floor before we started." Cohen also remains silent about joining the series' revival.
Meanwhile, Graham and Bledel told PEOPLE in an interview that the show's revival could be a fitting tribute to their late co-actor Edward Herrmann, who portrayed the role of Gilmore patriarch Richard before he passed away in December 2014.
"He would have loved this [new series]," Graham said. "His death was just a loss for us personally. It's given the show a new complexity and depth. It's a nice tribute to him."
"He was wonderful to work with," Bledel added. "Very generous and such a great presence to have on-set always."
Netflix will release the "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" on Nov. 25.
