'Gears of War 4' Versus Multiplayer: The Coalition outlines everything to expect in game's multiplayer

The floor runs red in the extra gruesome gameplay trailer for the "Gears of War 4" Versus Multiplayer. Apart from gory kills and blood in all places, The Coalition showed off the new abilities and weapons players will get to tap into in the game.

Set to a pumping song by DJ Shadow titled "Nobody Speak," the clip showed the characters performing the new pair of skills namely the vault kick and the yank, which do exactly what their names suggest.

New weapons will also be available in the "Gears of War 4" Versus Multiplayer. The first one is called Dropshot, which, needless to say, when fired, sends a projectile that will blast the enemy from above. In the Versus Multiplayer, the weapon decapitates an unwary enemy.

To make things even bloodier, "Gears of War 4" Versus Multiplayer introduces a big, ominous-looking weapon called Buzzkill, which easily chops an enemy into pieces.

There will also be killer new executions as well as vintage weapon skins and emblems. Vintage Kit will also star in the brutal mode, with the trailer briefly showing her in action.

"Gears of War 4" Versus Multiplayer will allow players traverse multiple maps such as Dam, Foundation and Harbor among others. Each of the maps throws players unique challenges.

The gameplay modes, on the other hand, include the Dodgeball aka "the ultimate Gears clutch mode" (see gameplay below), the Co-op Versus where "Gears of War 4" players team up to take on the AI and lastly, Escalation, which is described as "tactical intensifying action and weapon placement."

The Coalition also made sure to add classics that fans of the "Gears of War" franchise love – Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Guardian, Warzone and Execution.

Fans can get a good look at all these in the "Gears of War" Versus Multiplayer open beta starting tomorrow, April 25 to May 1.

"Gears of War 4" will be released Oct. 11.
