During the still-being-talked-about Golden Globes 2016, stars from "Game of Thrones" season 6 managed to provide a peek of what's to come in the land of Westeros when the HBO juggernaut returns.
Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell in the hit fantasy series, teased her character's grave situation in the upcoming season. On the red carpet, the star stunned with a stylish red dress and perfectly coiffed locks.
"Well she's not dressing like this anymore," she told Entertainment Weekly after receiving a compliment for her look. "She's effectively in a sack in a prison cell, but she's doing her damndest to get out of it."
It looks like Margaery will still be locked up when "Game of Thrones" season 6 kicks off. In the previous season, the High Sparrow incarcerated her along with her brother Loras and both are to stand in trial.
Cersei tries to console her and bring her food as Margaery spent her days imprisoned but she knows that Jamie's twin sister is, in truth, the person pulling the strings behind Loras's and her arrest.
Also during the Golden Globe Awards, Emilia Clarke aka Daenerys Targaryen teased that "Game of Thrones" season 6 will be no less than a grand television spectacle that fans would certainly love.
"I really can't say much apart from you'll see the biggest moments on television that have ever existed," the actress promised during a chat with E! Online. She was, however, coy when it comes to Jon Snow's real fate.
"It's going to be big," Clarke resorted to saying. As for "Game of Thrones" season 6 overtaking its source material, which are the "A Song of Ice and Fire" books written by George RR Martin, Clarke said that she is both "excited and nervous" about how it will be received.
Martin has already announced that "Winds of Winter," the sixth book in the saga supposed to be the basis for "Game of Thrones" season 6, won't be out before the new season premieres.
"Game of Thrones" season 6 starts April 24 on HBO.
