Several on-set rumors and updates about HBO's "Game of Thrones" have been circulating online, adding more excitement for the show's return for its sixth season.

One of the latest production updates posted on What Culture revealed that actress Lena Headey is already filming her scenes as the fallen queen Cersei Lannister in the series's set in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Based on the photos uploaded by spectators on the set, Cersei will have an interaction with the reanimated corpse of The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson) in the upcoming season, and he will be battling with his younger brother The Hound (Rory McCann) in a trial by combat that was set by Cersei against The Faith of the Seven.

Headey is still sporting a cropped hair in the upcoming season, since Cersei's hair was chopped during her "Walk of Shame" in season 5.

Meanwhile, The Week UK reported that an extended shooting period is currently taking place in Saintfield, Northern Ireland for an epic fighting sequence between the wildlings and the House Bolton. According to speculations, a number of armies are allegedly involved in the grand battle which could possibly be the biggest combat scene that will be featured in the entire series.

The TV adaptation of George R.R. Martin's popular "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels is also reportedly preparing to film in the Castillo de Zafra in Spain's Campillo de Dueñas. According to reports, the 13th-century Spanish castle will represent the Tower of Joy in the series. Speculations claim that the scenes that will be shot in the castle will feature the flashbacks to Jon Snow's (Kit Harrington) childhood.

Meanwhile, the "Game of Thrones" dedicated fansite Watchers on the Wall announced that Belfast School of Performing Arts student Michael Nevin was tapped to portray a "substantial role" next season. However, the character that the young actor will give life to is still unrevealed.

"Game of Thrones" season 6 is expected to air on HBO in summer 2016.
