Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft have finally unveiled the latest set of vehicles coming to "Forza Motorsport 6" as part of its December DLC pack.
But unlike the previous DLC packs that came out with themes, December's Mobil 1 Car Pack has no particular motif. It is composed of seven new high powered vehicles, including 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 hypercar, one of the most in-demand cars of "Forza" players at the moment.
The Swedish-made 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 is powered by 1341hp that can accelerate from the speed of 0 to 250 mph in a span of 20 seconds. Its maximum speed can reach a maximum of 273 mph at top speed.
Aside from the Keonigsegg hypercar, the other contents of the "Forza Motorsport 6" Mobil 1 Car Pack for December include:
- 1988 Holden VL Commodore Group A SV -- mid-size muscle car from Australia
- 1963 Ferrari 250LM -- won the first and third place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
- 1990 Chevrolet #30 Douglas Shierson Racing Lola T90/00 -- used by Arie Luyendyk when he won his first two Indianapolis 500s trophy
- 1991 Mazda #62 Mazda Motorsport RX-7 -- driven by Pete Halsmer when he won five 106 IMSA races
- 1958 Plymouth Fury -- popularized in Stephen King's novel "Christine"
- Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe -- the latest high-performance coupe from Mercedes Benz
The game developer also introduced optional microtransactions for "Forza Motorsports 6" that will use in-game tokens. This will allow players to purchase more cars or avail of new modifications and other accessories without having to level up through ranks.
Wired UK posted the pricelist for each Forza Motorsport 6 Token packs, including the following:
- 100 Tokens: 79p (Currently exclusive on the Xbox storefront)
- 325 Tokens: £2.39/$3.60
- 575 Tokens: £3.99/$6.01
- 1,250 Tokens: £7.99/$12.04
- 2,700 Tokens: £15.99/$24.10
- 8,000 Tokens: £39.99/$60.28
- 20,000 Tokens: £64.99/97.96
The first in-game microtransaction that was introduced in "Forza Motorsport 5" in 2013 earned a lot of criticisms from the players of the game because of its persistent notifications. This time, the notifications can be turned off if the player does not want to be informed about anything related to the tokens.
The "Forza Motorsport 6" Mobil 1 Car Pack December DLC comes free for Car Pass holders while those who do not own the pass can purchase the downloadable pack for $7.
