"Florence," the game about falling in love, is now available on the App Store for iOS devices at $2.99.

"Florence" is the debut game of the creator of "Monument Valley," Ken Wong's studio Mountains. It is published by Annapurna Interactive under an exclusive license. The game about first love was released on Feb. 14, the same day Valentine's Day is celebrated.

In the game, players take on the story of Florence Yeoh, a 25-year-old woman who feels that she is stuck. She is getting tired of her daily routine which consists of waking up as late as she possibly can, spending too much time tapping and scrolling on her social media accounts, balancing her company's books and arguing with her mother whenever she has the time to spare. Her life will change, however, when she meets Krish, a cellist. She hears him playing in the park, falling in love with his music in the process. Then the inevitable happens, and she finds herself falling in love with him.

Florence and Krish's relationship will blossom not long after. Players will find themselves guiding Florence in their path towards a stable relationship. From flirting with each other to moving in — players will have the opportunity to share the milestones of the two's relationship. The game will end on a sad note, however. Just like how players became witnesses to how the two fell in love, players will also witness the Florence and Krish falling out of love and eventually, drifting apart.

In an interview with Engadget, Wong said that he wanted to explore what goes into a romantic relationship in a game. Moreover he said that he doesn't want to create a game with a plot similar to "50 First Dates" or "Friends With Benefits" — he wanted to present a story that encapsulates what love is in reality, like the what the plots of "500 Days of Summer" and " Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" did.
