Months after Warner Bros. announced their plans to bring "Five Nights at Freddy's" to the big screen, more information about the development of the upcoming  movie were revealed.

Film director Gil Kenan recently revealed that he will be using a completely different storyline from the widely popular indie point-and-click horror game that was created by Scott Cawthon. Christian Post reported that the "Poltergeist" director will use the same premise as the video game, but the movie will deviate from its original storyline at the same time. The report also mentioned that the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie will use actual animatronics to feature the characters of the game.

Kenan has also posted several cryptic hints in his Instagram account lately. One of them is a photo of a damaged animatronics head of a bear, which looks like the iconic character of the creepy horror game.

More recently, the filmmaker posted a photo of colorful children's birthday party supplies. While the director did not directly confirm that the image has something to do with the movie, "Five Nights at Freddy's" fans know that the plot of the game normally revolves around children's parties.

While the cryptic images give little information about the film, Kenan's recent reply to a fan's inquiry about the film's rating provided a clue regarding the development of the film's production. According to the director, it is still too early in the film's development to think about its rating at the moment. He also revealed that he is still writing the script for the movie.

Kenan will work with Tyler Burton Smith to develop the screenplay of the film adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's," while Roy Lee, David Katzenberg, and Seth Grahame-Smith will produce the film under Vertigo Entertainment and KatzSmith Productions. Cawthon will also work with them to ensure that the upcoming film is as creepy and as terrifying as the video game.

There is no information yet regarding the release date of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie.
