It has been a while since Square Enix announced its plans to remake one of its most successful video games in the 90's. The Japanese game studio confirmed that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake is on the way, although there is no certainty yet regarding the title's release. Only a little information is known regarding the remake's new gameplay features, although the people behind the huge game project couldn't help but spill a few details. For one, it was teased that the fans should not miss the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 as Square Enix is likely to have a big reveal for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake.

At the recent "Final Fantasy" 30th Anniversary Exhibition, the "FF7" remake creators Tetsuya Nomura, Yoshinori Kitase, and Naoki Hamaguch shared some details about the on-going development of the title. Just like what some participants of the exhibit were expecting, the panel did not say much about the remake's improvements over the original "Final Fantasy 7" title, although the creators were confident to tell the audience that the development of the game is going smoothly, Gaming Bolt reported.

The public cannot expect a footage from the "Final Fantasy 7" remake just yet, as the team is still working closely on the game's contents. It is expected that the developer will reveal the first official preview of the remake once everything else in the game is polished, something that Square Enix does not seem to have accomplished at this time. Fortunately, the team raised the possibility of the fans seeing something big at the E3 2018 this June, in which the first trailer for the "Final Fantasy 7" remake might be released.

In other news, Nomura, who also serves as the "Final Fantasy 7" remake director, spilled some interesting bits about the character design of the game's central hero, Cloud. It appears that Cloud will undergo a major redesign for the upcoming game, and the character will no longer look like the ones depicted in the previous "Final Fantasy 7" adaptations. In the remake, Cloud will resemble his original look from the 90's video game, wherein he is more quirky and juvenile, compared to his latest rugged and scruffy description.
