'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 to have simultaneous premiere in U.S. and U.K.

 AMC

While "The Walking Dead" season 6 is still taking a break, updates about the second season of its spin-off series "Fear the Walking Dead" are starting to take over.

AMC previously announced that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will premiere on Sunday, April 10. It will come almost immediately after the sixth season finale of the original zombie post-apocalyptic series.

But after the network's announcement, it was confirmed that the "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 premiere will be aired in the U.K. almost simultaneously with the U.S. This means that the British audiences will see the second season premiere of the spin-off zombie drama on Monday, April 11.

The show will be aired in the U.K. on AMC U.K. exclusively for the BT TV and BT Sport pack subscribers.

"Fear the Walking Dead" will be composed of 15 episodes in its second season. The production began filming at the Baja peninsula in Mexico last December, according to series showrunner Dave Erickson.

"We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico," the series showrunner revealed in a previous interview with Variety. "Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the 'Fear' saga. We couldn't be happier."

It was also reported that the events in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will be held on land and at sea since Madison (Kim Dickens), Travis (Cliff Curtis) and their children Nick (Frank Dillane), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) joined Victor Strand (Colman Domingo) and the other survivors on a yacht to stay away from zombie-infested Los Angeles.

Though the survivors can be assured that the zombies cannot run after them at sea, they are still not out of danger since there are other people who are also looking for a place to stay safe.

More details about "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 are expected to come out in the coming days.
